Hey ladies! Yay! We have a host! I got the news today!
Lets start off with Question Of The Day:
How did you meet your other half?
I met Jeff through a band I used to manage. My brother was the rhythm guitarist and his brother was the bassist. One day I finally met this "mysterious older brother" and then we were suddenly inseparable. Now we are planning to get married in December, and I couldn't be happier.
Ooo I feel all special, being the first to reply =D
I went to Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts in the fall of 2006. It was hard to meet guys since it was an exclusively female college, so I posted a profile to the dating site OkCupid. After a few weeks, I get this message from a really cute guy who lived (kind of) nearby. We hung out on October 30th, he stayed overnight at my dorm (shame on me, I know!) and well, a year and a half later, he moved down to Baltimore to be with me =)
We're getting married whenever he goes and gets the marriage liscense...so....it could be a while...
Question of The Day
What is your favorite movie, and why?
Mine is Across the Universe. ME and Jeff watch it all the time together, we have made it our "feel good" movie. It gets us out of our bad mood, and we like to sing the songs together too.
Question of The Day
What is your favorite movie, and why?
I don't really have a favorite movie per se....I am a real sucker for the classic coming-of-age-bawl-your-eyes-out movie though. My favorites would have to be The Man in the Moon and The Joy Luck Club. I like feel-good movies, not the slasher/horror flicks my SO is so enamoured with =\
Mine isn't all that great. I can turn the bathtub faucet on and off with my toes. A lot of people can do that but I laugh every time I do it.
SI: I like feel good movies too. I really get into things like The Breakfast Club and Pretty in Pink but my SO is not that into it. He likes the STUPID funny movies. I get annoyed with horror movies pretty quickly.

My talent? I have a bit of a knack for numbers, both retaining data and compiling new data and extrapolating information and trends from said data. It's incredibly mundane, but I enjoy doing it =)
I think it's my turn to pose a question.....
What was your first car? Best and worst features?
Mine was a red 1986 Chevy S10 pickup named "Betsy". Best feature: I never had to change the oil since it all leaked out so fast that it didn't have time to get gross. Worst feature: never knowing if the brakes would actually work when it came time to stop.
I had a dream the other night that I was helping my family get rid of bodies....it was quite strange.
Bodies eh? Weird....
Mine would have to be all the sex dreams while pregnant, I was one very promiscuous preggo in dreamland, even prepubescent boys and wrinkly old men weren't safe. XD
Do you have any pets? If not, do you want any pets?
I have 2 kitties, Annie who is 7 months old and Olin who is almost 6 months old. I also have a beta fish named Roland. Used to have hermit crabs, but I accidentally killed them after keeping them happy and healthy for 2 years =( I want to try again with hermit crabs, but don't really have the money right now to give them what they would need (suprising how hard they are to care for).
It is a slow day for me, I am waiting to test and I have agreed with my other half that we are going to wait to see I am am late this month. I will give it until Monday, wish me luck.
If anyone hasn't checked out the April 2008 Testing/BFP Thread, you should. Just post a reply in that thread and we will all be thinking of you on that day, Baby Dust to all.

I love soft chocolate chip cookies, they are my secret indulgence.

I don't know how you manage to wait that long...I'm still only 9 DPO and have already taken 3 tests. You must have nerves of steel =) When is your next period due? Because mine is due Monday...

I love me some blueberry bagels with lots of cream cheese.

My period is due on Saturday. I figure I need to try to wait to test since I have spent a small fortune on HPTs, I might break down and buy one when me and my OH go out later, I really want to know!

If you have a Dollar Tree near you, you might want to drop by and pick up a test there, they're the same sensitivity as most of the brand name tests but a heck of a lot cheaper. If you don't have any luck this cycle, you could always try the internet cheapies (the small strips). I know how it feels to pee on a $7 test, get negatives and feel like I'm flushing my money down the toilet. I just feel a lot less bad about negatives on a test that I only spent 30 cents on =)
I'm blowing some dust your way that this will be the last test you have to pee on for a while
I actually did get some tests from the dollar tree. Thanks for the suggestion.
I am sorry for spacing out and not posting a new question the last few days, things have been a little hectic here. Missouri is still a mess from our recent floods and I have to move some things around in my schedule to make more hosting time!

Who taught you how to cook? And do you have any special dishes you like to cook?
