Default So tell me the truth...

For those of you who already have three kids:

I've heard the old agage that three kids is so much tougher than two because you're outnumbered, kids to parents. They say three is a totally different world from two.

BUT, I also heard a similar warning when I was getting ready to have two kids. Lots of people said that two kids aren't twice the work of one, they're TEN times the work of one. And you know what? That's totally not true. My life already revolved around one kid, what was one more? If anything, having my 2nd for my 1st to play with has made my life dramatically easier.

Anyway, my dh keeps hearing how awful three kids is so I'm in search of the truth. Those of you with three (or more), what was the transition like going from two to three? The TRUTH, please, even if it's not what I want to hear.

TIA!

I have found that it is easier to go from 2 to 3 rather than going from 1 to 2. I have an easier time handling the 3 of them then I did the 2 of them before Steven came along. Now I will be going from 3 to 4 & that should "even" it out, but I don't know how easy or hard it's going to be

Are you still TTC?

I have 3 girls and found it was easier to go from the 2 to the 3. Mostly because my older girls were 9 and almost 6 when my youngest was born. Now they are 12, 9 and 3 and find that its nice having the older 2 to help with their sister.

Also I find it easier with the 3 as I have a husband to help with all 3. When it was just me and the older 2 it was alot harder. Mostly cause my oldest was just over 3 when my middle girl was born. I was a single parent for 5 years before DH came.

I didn't find it difficult to go from 2 to 3 at all. People told me all kinds of horror stories too & I didn't listen to them. They were wrong anyway!!

I found going from 2-3 kids was easier than 1-2 and 0-1 (which of course was the hardest!) Getting out of the house takes a bit longer, but you are already packing up 2 kids, what's one more? I wish I had a 3rd hand some days though lol. My oldest was 4.5 yrs and my middle one was 2 yrs when I had my 3rd. My 2 yrs old was a bit of a handful but my 4.5 yr old was (is) an excellent help.

I only have 2 kids. And we're still trying to decide when to try for #3. But I've always heard going from 1-2 is the hardest. B/c it takes time to figure out how to juggle your time and split yourself 2 ways. By time #3 comes, a person usually figures out how to juggle even more. Does that make any sense?
