Icon5 New here! Have a question!

I am member of another board where we kinda created a TTC forum, but not everyone is in the same boat! Some first timers, some don't really understand...

I'm a natural mama, so I'm not on BC, and I'm not taking anything for fertility.

My last cycle date started Dec, 14, and I run about 29 days. Today is day 37, and no AF, but also, I keep getting BFNs.

Does anyone have any kinds insight as to #1 - why no AF after 8 days late, and #2, is it too early to get a BFP?

I had EWCM on CD 18pm/19am, BD on day 17 and 19. Spotted on CD20, so I'm assuming I O'd somewhere between CD 18 and 20.

Any answers??? I don't want to contact my midwife until I have a BFP on a HPT.. I used about 5 test strips, throughout the last week, and a AimStick as well.. Then I used a regular Dollar General HPT (advice from another board) and still a BFN..

I would like to add that I've had lower back pain for 3 days now. Burning pain, not like a muscle ache. No fever!

Do you chart? I'm learning to be a more natural mom and also don't use b.c. or fertility treatments, but I do chart. It's not abnormal to ovulate later in your cycle once in a while due to stress or excitement or anything that's not "Normal". That would delay your period too.

I don't really have any other ideas... just keep waiting & testing?? Or call your midwife, tell her what's happening & ask for a blood test??

And WELCOME to the forum!!! I hope you like it here!!

Thank you for the welcome. Yes, I've been charting... KINDA! I haven't been temping. I was for sure that I O'd the night of the CD18, until I started spotting on CD 20, and thoguht that could have been spotting from Oing....

I was going to wait on this next cycle to start to chart EVERYTHING, and it won't get here!!

Welcome to the boards, I hope your TTC adventures are short and sweet. I would also get a blood test done to check your hormone levels if AF doesnt show up soon. or look into the possibility of an infection some infections can cause AF to be late or small amounts of spotting instead of having a normal AF. Lots Of luck to you.

first of all! I hope that your TTC journey isn't a long one

I would suggest getting a blood test. There could be so many factors that would cause to be late. I know that when I tested a with this baby, I was on cd 34 (20 dpo), it was very faint. It could be stress, hormones, all kinds of stuff. Let us know how things are going though

Hi. I see in your post you said your last cycle was 29 days. Is that the normal length for your cycles or do they vary?

I see that others have stated that maybe it is hormones but the spotting could also be just because you had an annovulatory cycle.

Lots of luck & I hope you get some answers soon.
