I have always figured (granted w/o personal experience ) that it is hardest to go from one baby to two. After that it just seems to me that having babies, making adjustments and all the stuff that goes along with an addition to the family happens a little easier and more naturally. You've already BTDT, ya know?

This has been a debate between my DH and I because his view is that from one to two is the easiest transition and it will be harder to adjust with each additional one...

What do you think?

I think that going from one to two is a huge adjustment, but I also think that the adjustment from 2 to 3 is pretty big, too. I think that after 3, once you're used to being outnumbered by the kids, the adjustment gets easier. Of course, I'm still TTC #4, but I'm speaking from the experience of keeping other kids... when I had one, keeping one other baby was rough; when I had 2, keeping one other was hard; but now that I have three, I frequently keep my 2 nephews and occasionally a young cousin as well.
Just my $0.02.

I found going from none to 1 to be the hardest. I didn't think adding #2 or #3 was tough at all. We will be going for #4 next year. I don't expect that to be too tough, but we'll see
