Hi my name is Melissa.
I am 28, married to DH Tom and have 2 biological daughters’ Corissa (10) and Katelyn (2)
I have 3 step children Dakota (14) Samantha (12) Jimmy (10), who we see every other Christmas and 7 weeks a summer, there mother married military and lives in Arizona now but are moving at the end of school again

The poor kids have moved 3 times in four years and they hate it!
I also have one stepson Bruce (3) that we don't have a scheduled visitation with and he lives in Maine, DH typically visits alone while on business...but we certainly don't visit with Bruce as much as we would like. It probably seems odd that my dd and my dss are so close in age. Here is the short version of the story, Bruce’s mother left my dh when she was 3 months pg to live in Maine. DH and I met & fell in love, I got pg and we got married when I was 7 months pregnant 7/4/03.
I have been a part of the September Sprouts board on Pregnancy and Baby, although my dd was induced a couple of days early on 8/25/03. I have had two completely different birth stories, with my first dd I was induced and my labor lasted 28 hours with an epidural & my second dd was induced and lasted 1.5 hours, no epidural. I have to say looking back, I would go 28 hours with an epidural any day. So I will be looking for an OB that will induce with an epidural and not wait for me to progress to 4 cm, because I went from 4 to 10 in 20 minutes (NOT FUN!)
I work almost full time at an medical imaging company and DH owns his own business. We live in MN and are not looking forward to winter. I am cold already
Now for my 3rd baby (or 7 depending on how you look at it) that we have decided to TTC will probably not be a happy thing for our parents. Dh and I can provide for all of our children, so I don't get how both his mother and my parents always take it upon themselves to let us know we should be done. Hypothetically if each of the children were to come live with us they would be financially and emotionally supported. The big girls and big boys would have to share a room but our house can expand if we need it to.
Both dh and I feel like we are missing someone in our home and a BFP would be such a blessing to both of us. My girls always play together, and are great friends especially for being 8.5 years apart, my oldest is getting bigger and soon enough will be not wanting her sister to bug her so I feel like my baby could use someone closer to her age KWIM?
I had my IUD removed last Thursday 11/17, and I got my AF on 11/19. I was completely shocked because I haven't had AF in about 7 months. I expected it to take a while to get it back. I Guess not. I don't know if we are going to TTC this month because we would have 4 children’s’ birthdays in August, but we may throw caution to the wind and give it a try anyway. Plus taking the pg test on Christmas morning was so fun last time!
Nice to meet you all, as I have been lurking for about 2 months now. I figured I would join when it was officially TTC time.
Wish us luck.
