Matt & I are going to exchange gifts for each other on Christmas Eve. Then the kids will open our gifts to them on Christmas morning. We'll head to Moms after we're done and spend the rest of the day there
our plans for Christmas well Christmas eve is when we go to my family out of town and open presents and meet back up at my moms to eat chilli my dad makes every year and some dip my mom makes and open presents there from them, and our siblings and nieces nephews etc.. Santa comes that night and eats the cookies and milk and leaves presents for DD and DS under the tree we also spread out magic dust thats supposed to attract the reindeer to our house LOL DD makes it. We open our gifts here to eachother actually the night before Christmas eve because it takes hours at my moms house and by then the kids are tired and too wrapped up in the millions of presents they got from them so we will do ours here tomorrow night drink hot chocolate and listen to music. Christmas day santa comes then we will eat lunch at my SIL out of town and open presents from DH's side and have Christmas dinner with my parents and family at my moms. We also have a party to attend a shop lunch tomorrow my dad owns a business here in town DH works there I am the shops day care provider so we got that too LOL I am excited all the stuff we do makes time fly by o ya we will also make homeade chocolate chip cookies Saturday sometime for Santa before the other events take off. We do this every year the only thing that changes is the fact of where we eat on Christmas and we may have to add 1-3 more houses in on Christmas eve depending on where we will be on Christmas at noon. SO I thats our traditions and plans. and if anyone wants to make magic reindeer dust with their kids heres how you do it LOL
2 cups of oatmeal un cooked just put it in a bowl
put 3 sprinkles of green and red sugar powder you decorate cookies with into the bowl
put 3 srpinkles of green, red and silver glitter into a bowl let them stir it up put it in a bag and there you go LOL But really you can make it however you want.
The saying goes: Come Dec. 24 as Santa Flies here from the North Heres what you do it isnt hard just sprinkle this stuff in your yard..
The sprakles draw old Santa near and oats attract his 8 reindeer ..
Christmas morning we are opening our gifts at home. Let the boys play with their toys.
Then sometime in the early afternoon we are going to my grandparents.
Around 5 p.m we will then go to my inlaws (who live right beside us). Of course come home and be by the fireplace with it lit.
WE will be staying home. we will open 1 gift each on christmas eve and the rest on christmas day. On monday if i can get a plane ticket i will be flying to tennessee to meet my aunt and we will be driving to virginia for my grandmothers funeral, monday night is receiving friends and tuesday morning is the funeral. So we are really in the festive mood this year.
Fav tradition leaving cookies andmilk for santa and the magic reindeer dust, they make it in school every year!
