Well, started spotting today (I always spot a day or so before AF comes full force) so looks like I'm out. That's a bummer.

This cycle did make me have a few questions about the luteal phase, though. I got a near positive OPK on 5/16 (test line was really close to being as dark as the control line) . . so I'm assuming the next day I would've gotten a true 'positive' . . . so, 5-17 (ran out of OPK's, had company so didn't run out and get more, yada yada yada). Anyway, now, on 5/26, AF is beginning to make her appearance. Would this be considered a short luteal phase? That's like 9 (or maybe 10) days. I'm not sure when you technically begin and end counting days.

Milesmommy, didn't you say you might have a short lp . . . do you mind me asking what it is / was and what your doc suggested. TIA!

Your lut phase should be 12-14 days. The idea is that if you have a short lut phase your body does not have time to implant. Mine was running short before the pill. My ob said that I may need some help. ( I am thinking she meant clomid) So I guess that if it runs short this cycle.. I'll put a call in. I would give it another cycle.. you may have not ovulated or just had a short lut cycle.
