Hi, never been to these boards before. I spend most of my time at BIF. Anywho, hoping someone has had an experience like this.

I'm 27, dd was born 2/15/07, so happy 1st bday tomorrow. I've breastfed since day one. But Addi's been eating solids since 6 mos and has slept thru the night since 10 mos. We nurse 3-5 times a day. I still don't have AF. I'm not ready to ttc just yet but would really like to in August. Has anyone else gone this long without a cycle while bfing? Is there anything I can to to encourage AF to return? I can't belive I'm wanting that?!

Average return of AF while BFing is 14 months PP, however, while there are some women who get it much sooner, there are others who get it after more than 2 yrs even after weaning.

I got my PPAF when my DS was 9 months old (he is 17 months now), however, out of the 12 cycles I have had, I have only potentially ovulated in 3 of them. So, even the return of AF doesn't mean the return of regular Oing. Charting is really the only way to see how things are going.
