Default vaccines?

I may have posted this once if so i am sorry. did everyone's babies get hepatitis vaccines in the nicu? the nicu nurse came down and talked to me the other day and mentioned it. i am kinda curious b/c on another board i am on there is a big vaccine debate and i think the hep b vaccine has thermisol which is the reason for the debate. all this info can really get your head spinning. also, did ya'll give the flu vaccine or chicken pox vaccines?

They gave Cameron his first set of vaccinations in the NICU when he was 60 days old. Im not sure if the hep B was one of them though. They dont do the flu shot until they are 6 months and my son didntget his chickenpox vacc. until he was one year old. Im glad to hear you are still hanging in there! How are you holding up?

I am doing ok. I am so ready to go home though. But, if I am still pregnant at 32-33 wks. they say i MAY can go home then! It will be so nice to go home. Of course he doesn't think I'll make it that much longer but he didn't think I'd make it this far either. So...

Hi Mere! I am glad to see you are still hanging in there! Stay put baby girl! I will tell you that we don't vaccinate at all. I believe we are doing what is best for our family but I am not one who is going to get into fights about it and try to convince or change everyone else. Just educate yourself and make the decision that is best for you and your family.
We quite vaccinating our children when our first DS was 15 months old. I know that one of the main reasons for avoidance of the Hep B vaccine is that Hep B is a sexually transmitted disease, why does my infant need that? You can always ask the girls at the vaccine discussion board.

I pray that you make it too the go home point!

I just happened to stumble on this thread. I was hoping to get an update on you. I hope things are going well and your baby girl stays put! I bet you are going crazy. I was only in 2 days for ptl and that was enough for me.
