Birth Info: at 31W5D had dr. appt - Did fetal fibronectin test - was positive. sent to L&D to be monitored due to ctx. Sent home (irritable uterus) and was told to take it easy as much as possible. Ctx were strong on Feb 20 in the evening. Woke up to ctx on Feb 21 (32W2D)- called L&D - told me to come in. Dilated to 4 at noon. Got Mag Sulfate and steroid shot. Mag wasn't helping enough - taken off after 2 hours and labored naturally. Brooke was born at 9:38pm weighing 5 lbs 12.2 oz and 18 1/2 inches. NICU for just shy of 3 weeks. Don't know why I delivered early - possibly related to velamentous insertion.

Birth Info: PTL @ 19 weeks found low lying placenta, bedrest for 2 weeks, Placenta resolved by 26 weeks. PTL @ 31 weeks 5 days put on Procardia & very mild bedrest. Water broke 5/10 @9pm, 33 weeks 4 days. Given terb to get in 2 steroid shots 12 hours apart. Labor started again 5/12, given Mag and flown to Denver where there was a NICU. Induced at 3:30pm 5/14 (73 hours after 2nd steroid shot) to avoid infection or other possible problems. Sarah was born 5/14 at 7:31pm. Stayed 6 days in the NICU but never needed oxygen, was on room air and feeding on her own since birth.
Other Children: William (5-23-01) PTL @ 28 & 30 weeks, bedrest & terb till 36 weeks, induced at 40 weeks. 8lb 3oz, 21 3/4 in
Emma (7-17-03) PTL @ 35 weeks, bedrest & terb till 36 weeks, water broke 36 weeks 5 days. (My doctors thought I was 1 week further along by lmp, but I had been charting and knew when I got pregnant. Proved them wrong when Emma was born.) 5lb 15oz, 18 1/2 in.

Birth Info: At 33 weeks I woke up with something trickling down my leg. Called dr. and was told to go to hospital asap. When I got there they said it was amniotic fluid. I stayed in hospital on strict bedrest getting 2 steriod shots and mag sulfate for 3 days. After that i managed to not go into labor till I reached 34 weeks when they induced me. Brianna was born 2 hrs after pit was started. She was 5 lbs 11 ounces and required no oxygen at all.

Birth Information: I had a cerclage at week 19. I started to swell up around week 26 but it got real bad by week 30. My blood pressure raise around that time. By week 32, I went to the hospital for bleeding and was admitted for high blood pressure. Four days later I developed pneumonia. I had an ultrasound that day that determined my amontic fluid was low. My blood pressure got dangerously high that night so I had an emergency c-section. Three days later I had preclampsia and was treated with mag. and three kinds of blood pressure medicine. After nine days in the hospital I was released to go home on two week bedrest.

Birth Info: I had been contracting since 18 weeks, but at 31 weeks notices a lull in fetal movement accompanied by lots of pressure contractions. Went into L&D and was admitted and put on strict bed-rest with a mag drip. 4 days later, Aidan's HR dropped significantly. Because it kept dropping and would not go back up, I was rushed in to the OR for a crash section. It turns out he had wrapped the cord around his neck twice, and if I wasn't already in the hospital we would have lost him.

On Dec. 19, I had NST and it was showing contractions every 2 minutes but weak, Then on the 21 I woke up to contractions again, I got to the Hospital around 10am I was 2CM, at noon I was 4 and able to get my Epi. I pushed for an hour and had my beautiful son at 5:21pm He was 6 pounds 10oz, and 19 inches long.
