Setting limits?!
Hi all, I haven't posted here before, but I'm Suzanne, mommy to Kate (almost 5) and Rob, just about 26 months. Kate nursed to 18 months and then just gradually stopped. Rob loves his "na-nas" and is still going strong. He usually nurses upon wakening in the morning, after his nap, before bed, and once or twice more during the day. Of course, he asks to nurse every time I sit down. I have no particular desire to completely wean him, it'll happen in its own time.
BUT......he seems to be developing some interesting habits..... Lately, he's been reaching into my shirt, trying to take my breast out of my bra, and ducking his head to latch. Actually pretty funny, because I am not at all well endowed and there's not a whole lot to grab....
I never ran into this situation with DD because she weaned much sooner, so does anyone have some recommendations about creative and gentle ways to limit this behavior, especially in public?!
I must say that the nice part of nursing a 2 year old is having him pop off, smile at me, and say, 'Dat tastes good'!
