How long...
has everyone been breastfeeding and how long do you plan on breastfeeding?
We've been breastfeeding for 2 years and almost 9 months. I am a strong believer in child-led weaning and that's what we are doing.
My other kids all self weaned before they were a year old so this is a new experience for me but and awesome one. I wouldn't change it for the world.
So how about you?

Re: How long...
My baby is only 11 mos old but he is still nursing strong and I know we will be nursing past a year, hopefully longer. Out of my 4 kids this one has nursed the longest so I'm hoping he will last as long as he wants to. I don't mind if he nurses at 2 or 3 or longer. I think it's wonderful to nurse for a long time and I can't wait to go through that experience

Re: How long...
My baby is almost 11 months old and nursing strong. I know my DH is ok with it until at least 2 1/2 maybe 3. I'm not sure how long I'll be willing (I'd like to say child-led, but I'm not sure). My goal is at least 2 years (per the WHO) but I don't plan on weaning her right then. I feel ok with the idea of it going on at least until 3.
That was a long winded way of saying I'm not sure and we'll have to see. LOL

Re: How long...
Mine is almost 15 months and still nursing like mad. She's teething and really wants to stay latched on for hours. I only wish I'd get my ppaf, since we want another baby asap.

Re: How long...
my dd will be 4 in February, and she still nurses about 2 X a day (unless she gets hurt, in which case she'll nurse a littlemore)
I will elt her self-wean, as I did her brother, he nursed til he was 5 yrs and 1 month.

Re: How long...
Eli is 18 months and nurses 3 times a day. DD was 15 months and self weaned. DS was 18 months and it was more mother led. I am not sure how long we will go.

Re: How long...
Hello all
My current nursling is only 9 weeks old, but he'll be nursed until at least 2 years old. I'm hoping to go longer!
My eldest nursed until 2, my 2nd dd nursed 8 mos (weaned during pregnancy) and my 3rd dd nursed 21 months.

Re: How long...
Hi ladies! I'm Jen! Just popping out of lurking mode for a bit.
Cody turned 2 in March and we still nurse at night and to fall asleep for naps. I am loving it.
