I don't think I've posted on this particular board before, but, I'm an extended bfer
My son is nearly 21 months, and nurses quite frequently.

Hi! I am nursing a 17 mo old who nurses a lot! I'm at work during the day but once I get home we nurse, cosleep and nurse through the night. It's been wonderful and I hope we continue to nurse for a few more years

I stop by now and again. Colleen is almost 18 months old and we are going strong. She is getting 4 teeth in right now and spends a lot of time each day nursing. Sometime every hour during the day and at least every 2-3 hours at night.
Re: Calling All Extended Breastfeeders or those planning to EBF
Well, we aren't there yet, but I'm planning to nurse at least into the second year. So far so good. I pump at work and we co-sleep at night so Joey can nurse whenever he likes (and he likes).
Re: Calling All Extended Breastfeeders or those planning to EBF
I'm not even sure what is considered "extended" these days. I nursed dd #2 until she was 2.5 years old and dd #3 until she was 3.5 years old. My wee one is 9 months old and I don't think she'll be any different than her older sisters. Unfortunately none of my children ever self-weaned. I nurse for as long as I can handle it though.
Re: Calling All Extended Breastfeeders or those planning to EBF
My first time on this board, but I'm nursing son #3 at 15 months old, nursed son #2 until amost 36 months old and was forced by my pediatrician to wean son #1 at 12 months (that was in 1995 when 6 mos. was the recommended length of time and I totally went against everything I felt, but I was 19 and lacked any support to continue).
