Well I am a new host on this board, I'm also a host over on TTC - Preparing to TTC. I'm still spending quite a bit of time over there though as that is where I originally started and because they've got the greatest 'Chart Guru' over there, who is also my co-host, Claire!

I am just about to be done with AF and DH and I are hoping to TTC this cycle. We do plan on starting and seeing how it is going to go, I've bought OPK's to see exactly when I will ovulate along with watching my temps and CM still. I was taking prenatal vitamins but they were making me sick to my stomach, so I had to stop taking them. I'm hoping I will be able to become PG and have a successful pregnancy this time, I suffered a miscarriage in May '05 at nine weeks.

Well that's me in a nut shell. Hope to hear from the rest of you soon, hopefully we can get this board hoping again!! Take care and lots of to all of you!! xx

Hi Anne,
I just wanted to offer some advice...while charting is nice for some people, it can actually have a reverse effect. I had normal cycles untill I started charting, and then it went bezerk and I stopped ovulating. When I stopped charting... my cycles resumed to normal again.I charted for a little while this cycle, and BOOM no ovuation kind of stinks. Also.. when the OPK peaks, it doesn't always mean you will ovulate. I think sometimes, we're just supposed to have fun, and let nature do the rest. Our bodies will let us know when it's time to BD, and more and more women are getting pg on break cycles, because TTC is so so stressful. Don't ya ever wonder why women who dont try get pg so fast?? it's cause their bodies arent under sooo much stress trying to time ovulation and their love life together. My DH got so sick of it that we didn't bd all that much anymore, and when I stopped charting and stopped worrying, he's all over me now..

I'm just using charting and CM to give myself an idea of where I am at in my cycle, ultimately DH and I will decide when we want to DTD but this is just to help us aim for the better times.

Since this will be our first cycle officially trying, we're just taking it easy and not putting too much pressure on ourselves. We're still fairly young (both 25 this year) so if we don't conceive right away we'll wait until the time is right for us.

We would like a Winter baby though, which is why we've decided to try now for a baby. We're both just really excited because neither of us have children and since the miscarriage it seems like something has been missing.

I take all of the opinions given on these boards because they truly do help me out, I love to read others experiences but I also love the bond that is created on here as well! xx

I have to declare myself guilty of now showing up an participating.

Since the RE put me on 6months rest, I cannot anything to talk about. I'm also on strick prescription to change my mind, to distract myself of TTC. So I've been mostly lurking. I've been realy busy with preparing to move, DH's brother died last week, so dealing with all of that is also a challenge.

So I'll try to participate more and say, at least, hi.
