Hello ladies, long time no see
I thought I'd pop in now that all the holiday craziness is over and give you a bit of an update and ask a question. To catch you up:
I was diagnosed with PCOS a few months back and started taking Metformin. Then I started my first round of Clomid in November. My last two cycles have been normal and I believe I'm ovulating normally since both my charts and OPK show that I am. My cycles are lasting about 31/32 days and ovulation occured on CD23 in the first cycle and according to my OPK will occur on CD22 this cycle. I expect my period to start on CD31 which is January the 14th.
So all is going well and we're pretty happy with my normal cycles and the effects of the Metformin/Clomid etc. The trouble is my luteal phase last month was only 9 days and if my calculations are right it will be 9 days again this month. I know that normally is should be 14 days and at minimum it needs to be 10 so I'm concerned that my LP is to short. What I want to know is if any of you gals know what the normal procedure is to lengthen a LP. I know CLomid is one of the drugs used to help with that but obviously it's not working for me (or the dose isn't high enough). I plan to contact my OBGYN if it's only 9 days again this month but I'd like to know what you ladies have done (on your own or on your doctors orders) to lengthen your LP. Thanks bunches ladies. Good luck and blessings, Prana
