I haven't been posting much lately as I'm on a sort of involuntary ttc-break, but for those of you who remember me, here's an update...

DH and I had our first RE appointment last week. It went well and our doctor was very sweet and easy to talk to. The plan of action is first some additional tests on both DH and me and if all is clear I will be put on clomid. The RE will monitor me via u/s throughout the cycle and she may trigger O with a shot. She was very reassuring and even though "getting technical" is a scary thing in many ways, it is exciting at the same time

. I was quite nervous before the appointment as I didn't know what to expect. Since neither dh nor I come from the country where we currently live, we had no clue what treatment options would be offered. But, we feel OK about this POA for now. I'm looking forward to "getting back in the game"!

Elle, I'm so glad you had a comforting appointment. It's so important to click with the doc. Hope things continue to go well. It is an uneasy thing to ask for help on any topic, and fertility is such a sensitive issue that it's even more personal and emotional. Good luck. I'll be thinking about you.

I'm so glad you updated--I'd been checking the board just in case. That's great that the appointment went smoothly and you were able to leave feeling like you are being well taken care of. That's really important.
