Default TTC Very Frustrated can someone help??

Hi, My husband and I have been trying to concieve for months now and it's really starting to get hard for us both. Every month we hope and every month nothing... I have irregular periods they vary from 28 days to 35 days so it's very hard to tell when I'm ovulating.. Can anyone give some advice on the best way to increase my chances of getting pregnant without having to spend lots of money on ovulation kits all the time??? thanks so much..

Hi there

Have you been checked for PCOS? That is one of the causes for irregular periods. I have it and take medication to regulate my cycle. I have always been irregular and then I was put on Metformin, it took a few moths to work but I got regular cycles every 28 days. Another problem that I have is I don't ovulate on my own. Ask you Dr. to check you for that.

When I started seeing mt RE she told me to take prenatals and Folic acid, even when you are ttc.

Good luck and I hope everything goes well for ya.

Have you been charting? It is a very good way to pinpoint your ovulation.
If you haven't I recomend www.fertilityfriend.com, if you just want the basic chart for ovulation it is free, you can pay a very reasonable price and have a more advanced chart if you would like, but the free one is perfectly fine. They also have a free course you can take that is super helpful in teaching you the ins and outs of charting and recognizing ovulation signs!

Also, you can get a Clear Blue Easy fertility monitor from Ebay pretty reasonably and often they have test sticks included with them!

Hope that helps
