Back from my appointment. I'm relieved to have it done with. I was so nervous my hands were shaking and my blood pressure shot up. The doctor was really nice though and he made me feel very comfortable. Aside from some pressure, lingering cramps and a bit of spotting I'm fine now. The doc seems to think I have PCOS and has sheduled me for an ultrasound this weekend. He thinks I'm not ovulationg at all and said he may start me on metformin for the PCOS, Clomid to force ovulation and something to help me lose wieght (
http://xenical.com - though I don't think I'll take it) . He's also put me on a diet and asked me to lose 60 pounds. But, unlike all the other doctors I've seen he's acknowledged that because of my hypothyroidism and PCOS that this is harder for me than the average person and says not to get to hung up on my wieght because he treats women twice my size who get pregnant all the time.
Anyway, at least we have a plan now and a doctor that actually listens and wants to be really aggresive about my treatment. After almost two years of trying we are finally getting some answers. I'll be buying abike soon to ride with the hubby in the afternoon and we're both going to cut our calories and keep a food journal. I already eat very well and exercise daily but I guess I'll just have to work harder. I'm stressed becuase it's never been easy for me to lose wieght but I'm also really excited to at least have somewhere to go from here instead of feeling helpless all the time.
Thanks bunches for your support gals! ::hugs:: Good luck and blessings, Prana
P.S. I'll let you know how the ultrasound goes Saturday afternoon. I also got some ovulation tests to take this month. Wish me luck
