Hello Everyone,

I am so excited about joining this group! I have been married for 3 months now, however together for 8 years. Neither one of us has children and we are more than ready. So by reading all of the posts I feel that this group would be excellent for me.
I have been on BC since I was 19 (11 years) and I recently stop taking them in February and I have been trying every since. And I haven't had any luck.
It seems that I have been on every website known to man regarding getting pregnant, but still no luck but lots of frustration. I really am unfamiliar with charts and all of the getting pregnant lingo.
I did see a doctor who told me to lose about 20lbs. So basically I need help in all departments

Smiley.

This site is a wonderful place. You'll find that the insanity of TTC is almost fun with these girls to share it with

Good Luck....I had always been told that BC taken for a long time wouldn't cause a delay in getting preg after stopping but I stopped three months ago and haven't had any luck yet. I have had two of my doctors tell me it isn't uncommon at all for it to take up to 6 months and still not that uncommon for it to take longer. Granted there are some women who get preg right away but a lot more who don't. So don't get too discouraged. Hey and this would be your 6th month...so who knows

Sarah...just had to say....WHAT CUTE FURBABIES!

Thanks for what you said about our furbabies!! They're a lot of fun!
Almost time for me to test!!! Keep us in your prayers! I don't have any symptoms at all, I don't know if that's a good sign or not...

Welcome! This site is full of useful information. I know how you are feeling - I went off of bcp at the end of May, and no luck yet! Hopefully, we'll all get those BFPs soon!

I highly recommend charting and using OPKs - it gives you a lot of information about your cy, and for me, it gives me an imagined sense of control. If you go to fertilityfriend.com and sign up for a free account there, it sends you a useful online course everyday by email with lots of information about how to chart, what to look for, and how to improve your chances of getting pregnant. I know we can't make our bodies do what we want, but I always feel that information makes me a little less frustrated since I don't have to wonder what is going on quite so much, or whether I'm doing things right.

GL to you & welcome!

Thanks. I just signed up for fertility friend. And there was a lot of useful information there. I will keep you posted. I was a little overwhelmed at first though.
