Re: OK Jen.....what's going on?! (jdwantsababy)
Thanks for checking in on me. This cy was another BFN. Af was delayed b/c of the progesterone suppositories I was taking. I had to stop taking those after I got my BFN to let AF come. She showed up 2 days later, 3:30 this morning to be exact. It was SO painful too. I haven't had one of those since I was a teenager. I couldn't go back to sleep. They gave me all that stuff to try and beef up my lining so shedding it was not fun!!!
Anyways, I'm on to IUI #3, here's hoping that I'll have a little luck of the Irish this month and the 3rd time will be the charm. I'm doing something a little different this time. We're kicking the Clomid! Clomid has made me O beautifully, but it thins my lining too much. I had 4 mature follies this time, woohoo, but my lining was only 6mm,and last time it was 8mm, so it's gotten progressively less. This month I will be on an all injection cy. I will be take Follistim cd 3-7, I believe. This is an FSH injection that stimulates O, but does not have the same neg. s/e on uterine lining like Clomid. There's also more risk of over stimulation, more costs, and more monitoring (blood tests in addition to u/s). BUT, it will all be worth it in the end when our empty arms are filled! I'm really hoping this works. Please keep us in your prayers.
And that's pretty much my update.
Sorry I haven't been around much. This TTC thing just gets old. PM me Dawnyel if you ever want to talk.

5 iui attempts and the 5th was the charm!!!

The day you deliver, outside will be windy. Your baby will arrive in the early evening.
After a labor lasting approximately 5 hours, your child, a boy, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 8 pounds, 5 ounces, and will be 21 inches long. This child will have hazel eyes and be completely bald.

Just popping in to say hi and tell you two that I think about you both all the time. I still check out your charts too.
Dawnyel-I can't wait to hear about your treatments with this new insurance!!!
Jen-I hope this round of IUI is IT for you. Maybe kicking the Clomid will do the trick.
I keep you both in my prayers. XOXOXOXO.

Re: OK Jen.....what's going on?! (jdwantsababy)
Thanks guys,
Jen.. you're never on yahoo messenger!!! I'm on all the time and I never see you!.
I cant wait for my medical cards to come in the mail.. yesterday we didn't get any mail!!! I was so bummed. Good luck with the ingectibles Jen! I think all I need is clomid to O, and conceive.. but I dunno, because my first cycle of clomid I got pg, but my hcg was 18 when they checked it. I had + tests for like 2 weeks and then finally it went to 12 and I never got it checked again. They did an u/s and there was no sac, but my ovaries looked good, but I looked at my lining and it was thin... lol the U/S tech in the ER was impressed.
I took soy this cycle, which is supposed to be exactly like clomid only soy is natural. I had o pain from about 5pm yesterday to 8am this morning and we bd'd yesterday morning!!! yayayay so maybe I'll just get pregnant this cycle and wont have to do treatments =)

Re: OK Jen.....what's going on?! (jdwantsababy)
I don't use Yahoo anymore. I took it off of my computers. I got tired of it coming on all the time when I logged on and making my start up time longer.
Are you seeing or have you seen an RE? I would highly recommend it if this cy doesn't work. They're a world of difference from an OB. If you go you'll see just how much your OB has no clue about infertility. Their answer to everything is Clomid or Femera with little or no monitoring. Must people I talk to about IF wish they had seen an RE sooner instead of wasting their time w/ an OB. For some reason we feel this sense of obligation to our dr.'s.
Anyways, good news for you is that you know you can get pregnant. But, if you went to an RE they would monitor you through the whole cy using u/s to tell you if your lining was thin or not. Thin lining can cause embryos not to implant or to m/c. Having a thicker lining could be all you need to carry a baby for 9 months. Wouldn't that be awesome!? That has been my problem with Clomid. I don't have any problem Oing with it, it just thins my lining.
