New TTC#1 - 8mths (23yrs old)

Hi Everyone,

WOW these boards and you women are just amazing! Im sooo overjoyed that Ive found you and the boards!

So ... my name is Pam (23) and DH is James (31) we were married September 25, 2004 and have been TTC since. I have been diagnosed with PCOS and still have yet to O... I am currently on my first clomid cycle - but 4th cycle TTC (1st-59days, 2nd-58 days, 3rd-96 days Provera induced AF). We went to our dr this week and he said my progesterone levels were very low at 1.3, I know I havent Ovulated yet... however due to the stress of it, we have decided to stop temping... which has already helped... im just going on a whim now! haha...

Anyway if this cycle doesnt work - which I am not that hopefull then I have a prescription for 150mg clomid CD3-7 for next cycle!

Nice to have you here - I have been on these boards since March & LOVE LOVE LOVE it!

Last month was our first "official" month TTC & we dtd every day for like 11 days - (during the fertile window & around - "just to be safe") - well nothing came of it - so we are off to another month of DTD! Although we are ALOT more laid back this time around! (hopefully that will help)

I am supposed to O on our 3 year wedding anniversary - that would be such a WONDERFUL gift!

I have been ttc since nov. 04 Its a thrilling journey!

Thanks girls... Im glad I found these boards too - Ive stopped temping due to the stress it was causing me! And Ive just been living life how I want to... waiting for AF - Im at like CD30 something... still no O (according to progesterone test on CD20) so we'll see! I have a prescription for clomid 150mg CD3-7 so hopefully that will work...AF come on find me Im ready for this next round!

Hi Pam and welcome!!!
I have PCOS also so I understand your O problems. My dr prescribed Femera (Letrozole) for me and it worked!!!! This was my first month on Femera and I believe I O'd yesterday or today. You might want to ask your dr about it. It's a new alternative to Clomid. Good luck. I hope that the more laid back approach of not temping works for you!

Hi Everyone

Thanks so much for the warm welcome!

We've had a quite the week so far... over the weekend a very close family friend was killed in a motorcycle accident... ugh he wasl like our 2nd dad, my dads best friend... its been really hard on everyone...

Meanwhile during all of this (which happened Saturday night - he then passed Sunday) I am almost wondering if I O'ed on Sunday... Im not 100% sure or not... but since then my bbs have been very tender. I stopped temping last week so I dont know for sure...

ANyway guess I will wait it out, my gyno told me to wait 2 weeks after a "regular" period would have been due, which was last Thursday or Friday... so I guess the 24th would be 2 weeks. If I still dont have AF (which with my previous cycles I can understand) I will get a blood test and then see what the dr will do for me. I noticed this morning my nipples almost feel like a burning sensation.

Anyway what would the odds be that it happened that day!? Good golly...

Well we have the wake tomorrow night and the funeral Thursday. Im taking Friday off cause I know its going to all sink in for good on Thurs... and its gonna be hard!

Ive only known you girls for a few days, but you are all so wonderful and friendly... Im gonna need it!
