My update (jdwantsababy)

Well, I've had such a rough week with Dr.'s and trying to make appt.'s. I called my doc after I got a BFN on 14 dpo. Well, he wanted me to take another hpt. So, that Tuesday 18 dpo I tested again, BFN. So, I called back to let him know. Well, he told me that he thought I might be pg and he wanted me to WAIT another WEEK and test again!!!! I couldn't believe him! He didn't say come in for a blood test or lets start you on prometrium again or anything. So, I told him that I wanted a referral since this Femera was obviously not working and he wasn't at all concerned with finding out why. So, he gave me a referral to an RE close to my house. I call and that dr is out of network. Now why wouldn't he check that out first??? So then I go online to check for RE's that are in network. There's only one group in downtown Atl, about 45 min away. But, oh well. It the Emory Reproductive Center. Emory is a very well know and respected medical school and all of the RE's also are professors at Emory. So, then I have to call and get a referral for that group. They fax the referral over and mail me a copy. Well, the people at Emory keep telling me that they don't have the referral! Urgh!!! So, when I finally receive it in the mail, I fax it over myself and call again to make an appt. Well, they take all my info and everything and then when they get to the part of the dr, she says, "Oh, no. Dr. Murphy isn't taking new patients and your referral is for her." !!!! So, I call the gyno office back and get another referral for one that is excepting new patients. Well, when I finally make and appt I have to make it for Nov 17th!!!! That was their 1st appt for new patients!!!!! They put me down on the cancellation list. So, hopefully an appt will open up. But, I'm going to call my gyno back and ask him if he can continue to treat me in the mean time so I'm not just a sitting duck. SO..... The wait begins!!!
So I haven't been around much! I'm just really discouraged about this TTC thing!

Oh Jen, I am sorry to hear that you are having such an ordeal! I know that must be annoying! I hope that there is a cancellation soon! Meanwhile, I don't know about that Dr. It doesn't make any sense to me why Dr's give patients the run around. Sometimes I think it is how they get their thrills for the day. I have had some like that too. Keep your head up girl and know that I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

Oh Sweetie, I'm sorry the next appointment is not until November

. I'm guessing there will most likely be cancellations, but it sux not knowing when. Talk about limbo! And what's up with your gyno? First he wants you to wait until 5000 dpo to see him and then he gives you problems when you want a referral. Geez!

Thinking of you, hoping for a cancellation soon!

Good greif! Well, I am so sorry about all the hassel you have gone through just trying to get an appointment, but I am really glad that you are going to the RE. I think it'll be worth it in the end. I know November sounds ages away, but it'll be here before you know it. Maybe until then just do the best you can and try to hang in there. I really think this RE is going to have some answers and a great plan of action for you! Keep us posted.

Jen, girl I am so sorry you are going through so much right now. It is hard now but remeber what you have always told me...it will all be worth it in the end. You are going to have your precious little baby in no time and this is all going to be the past. I am keeping you in my prayers and you are always in my thoughts. I love you sweetie. No worries!

Thank you so much ladies! Y'all are great encouragement! I heard from my gyno today and he called me in another prometrium Rx so, it looks like I might actually get me period again!!! I guess I'll keep trying this until I can go to the RE!!! Oh, November can't get her soon enough! I can't wait to get some answers!!! I love you all!
Chrissy and Alana - I love seeing your ultrasound pics on your siggies!!! It's just so sweet! I'm so happy for y'all!
