Re: Jen--how did the RE appt go?
Sorry ladies. I didn't post like I said I would. Well, my appt went very well. I really like my dr. She has a plan, and I like that. The POA is very similar to Elle's. She gave me Prometrium and Metformin yesterday. Even though I don't have insulin resistance she wanted me to go on Metformin b/c it is supposed to reduce the chance of m/c in women w/ PCOS. (I hope it works.) Women w/ PCOS have a greater risk of m/c than normal women, but this is suppose to help. When AF shows up, I'll go in on cd 3 for a baseline u/s to see how many little cysts I have on my ovaries and what they have to work with. If all is okay, I'll start my first round of Clomid. Then, b/w cd 5 -12 I go in for an HSG. That's the dye test that they use to make sure that my tubes aren't blocked and that my uterus is a normal shape. Then, on cd 12 I go back in for another u/s to see if I'm Oing, how many follies, and to see if my endometrium lining is thickening up nicely. As long as I'm Oing and everything looks good we'll try. Louis had a s/a done yesterday, we don't know the results yet, but if his count and everything look good them we'll be able to try at home right now. If not then we'll have to look into doing IUI right away. We'll try this approach for 3 months. If I'm not pg after 3 months of the clomid and u/s's then we'll look at moving on to other options. I feel very good about this POA. I'm excited about the monitoring - that's what I wanted all along. Hopefully I'll be sharing some good news shortly. Pray for us and send baby dust our way! Maybe I'll be pg by Christmas!!! That would be perfect!

The day you deliver, outside will be windy. Your baby will arrive in the early evening.
After a labor lasting approximately 5 hours, your child, a boy, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 8 pounds, 5 ounces, and will be 21 inches long. This child will have hazel eyes and be completely bald.

Re: Jen--how did the RE appt go?
Thank you again. I should be starting my period any day now and going for my first u/s. It'll probably be this coming Wed. I'm excited to see what we find out. The Metformin has made me a little sick. I'm doing better with it now, but I have to up it to 2 pills a day today so I'm a little nervous that I'll get sick again. But, oh well. Anything for a baby right!?!?! Thanks again for the support ladies. We're praying for a little blessing for Christmas.

Re: Jen--how did the RE appt go?
Jen,
I was on Metformin for a while and it made me have the runs, 24/7 I stopped taking it and wasn't taking it when I started clomid. But I saw how rocky my temperatures were and I knew that the Met would at least straighten out my temps, and I knew I needed it, so I got back on it can called the doc to tell him I was switching and he said ok. I knew I would need the met/clomid combo to get pregnant by the looks of my temps and I didn't want to pay for 2 months of clomid, and it worked!! I'll be praying for a Christmas BFP!!
Love Dawnyel
I thought it was a period, and it was a BFP.. it is NOT f*ing over when the hag shows, it might just be the beginning.
