Endometriosis anyone? X/P

I really wish that there was a forum where you could post question for all the ladies posting on SK, and there is no separate board for Endometriosis,

BUT HERE GOES.....

Does anyone here have any experience with endo? I have been diagnosed with stage IV endo yesterday. I have an appt with my OB in two weeks to talk about the next steps.

In the meanwhile, if anyone has any insight or has any experience to share, that would be great! Whta I really want to know is, if anyone suffering from endo has had a successful pregnancy!

Hi Tia

I too was diagnosed with stage IV endo- roughly 10 years ago.

10 years ago however, I was not TTC!!!

But 10 years ago, I had a lap and they found a huge cyst in my ovary that they removed. They also found one of my tubes adhered to the ovary- which they disconnected.

After that I went on Lupron (I only took it for 3 months-I had a bad reaction). After that I got pregnant, but fortunatley/unfortunately I lost the baby. At that time in my life, I was not ready to be a mother anyway.

Now I'm married and ready to have a child.

DH and I have been trying for a little over a year.

I just went for my 4th IUI.

If this does not work, I'm going straight to IVF.

I have no fear. I know I will be a mother soon. I have heard so many stories of women with endo getting pregnant.

I've done so much research on endo. They are finding more of an auto immune thing.

Do you have allergies?

I will start my research on endo too! What is the auto immune thing?

I have no allergies, except for a dust allergy or pollen allergy! Is that relevant? Does it have any corelation to endo?

I love your attitude! I am usually very optimistic too, kinda "half full" gal!

I had endo, I dont' know what stage, but I am pg now. I had 2 laps done. One in Aug o5 and one Jan 06 (the endo was worse this time around). After the 2nd lap I went on Lupron. I was supposed to take it for 6 months (Mar 06-Aug 06). However, my insurance got cancelled and I only had 4 of the 6 shots. I decided there was really nothing I could do about it til I had insurance again & pray that the endo didn't come back. I was waiting for

to start again (about 2 months after finishing the shot), but she didn't. I was going into my 3rd month with no sign of

. So out of curiosity & some noticeable changes in eating, I decided to test. I just knew it was going to be negative. Dh and I weren't ttcing either. We had kinda given up. He felt I couldn't get pg and I felt the endo was going to come back bc I didn't finish the meds. Needless to say, the test came back positive. I had actually gotten my BFP. I couldn't believe it. I am still in disbelief. So I guess you can use me as proof that even if you have endo, you can still get pg. I prayed about it. I asked GOD to one day bless me with a baby & he answered my prayers sooner than I expected. When GOD is ready for it to happen for you, it will. Just know that it is possible. I am wishing you tons of luck for a BFP real soon.

I agree with you. I wish there was a forum for endo. I have not had a BFP but I am in the same boat as you. I have had 7 laps with the last one in 1/06. I was having to have them every 6 months. It has gotten better since on these meds I guess. It was so severe that it was all over my colon, bladder, tubes and ovaries. I also get bad cysts every month. As you can imagine now I have a lot of adhesions from all my surgeries so I am sure that contributes to my pain. The last 2 surgeries they debated taking my ovary that was always the problem. I am glad they didn't because I have since had some slight problems with the other one.

Anyways, DH and I have been TTC 10 months. We only tried a few months the natural way and then got on clomid to try to get a BFP before symptoms came back. I did clomid 50mg x3months and BFN. I did clomid 50 mg & ovidrel with IUIx2 and BFN. This last month I did clomid 100 mg & ovidrel with IUI on 2ww. If it doesn't work this time we will probably move to injectables. I just don't know if we can afford IVF.

Anyways...whew sorry if that was TMI. I would love to hear others stories with endo. It may give me a little encouragement if we heard some with a BFP ending.

I am sorry that you are going htrough such a rough time! I am new to this too and trying to figure a few things out!

Some of the ladies over at the IVF forum are great and have been really helpful and have got BFPs despite endo! You might want ot read the repliies to my post over there and post some of your Qs too!

Hope you get your BFP soon and do ont have ot go the IVF way!

Hey, Guys!! My name's Jen. I just happened to be lurking and saw this post. I have Endo, not sure what stage. I had aLap done about 6 years ago to remove endo and a cyst on my ovary. I had another lap and a Hysteroscopy almost 2 years ago. The found that my left ovary had attached to my ureter but I would have had to have a separate procedure to correct that. I did 2 cycles of Clomid and IUI with no luck. My first Injectibles cycle I conceived but m/c within a week. The 2nd Injectibles/IUI cycle I got very sick, OHSS-Ovarian Hyperstimuation, but conceived Twins. I lost one of the Twins early in my pregnancy and had my Son last March. There is a GREAT IUI Board on here, you guys who do IUI's should check it out!! Good Luck!!

meenu-what fertility treatments are you doing?
