Default Blood test negative????

I'm in shock. I got my blood test back from yesterday and the nurse says it is negative.

She said possible chemical pregnancy.

How in the hell can the urine test be positive and the blood test negative?

I POAS again today and it was still positive. Blood is negative.

I don't know what to think or do. Soooooo numb.

There is a possibility that your test is actually more sensitive than theirs. Sounds weird I know, but unless your positives at home disappear I would believe them.

I'm sorry about the Neg blood test! but if you used an Equate.. they measure at 4mIU's just like the blood test... go to www.peeonastick.com this one girl had a + and her beta was only four.. plus.. you didn't see the blood test, and if there was a faint line on it.. then maybe they don't count it as positive..
All the blood test is.. if it's a qualitive.. is they take a vial.. shake it up in a machine, so they can get the clear stuff out.. and drop it on to what looks like a dollar tree test.. one line neg 2 lines pos.. except if you get that one dumb person who thinks the lines have to match... I hope this helped.. oh.. and ALANA had a neg blood test when she first had a + hpt and went back the next day and it was pos.. but come to think of it maybe it was urine that was neg at the Dr.. hmm... anyway.. did you take your test with you and show the Dr? maybe request to do a urine test there

Nickie,
I am SO sorry! What does the doctor suggest that you do? Are they going to redo the test? How terrible, I just don't know what to say! Did they say if it is possible that it is just too early? I know there was one woman on here that got a negative blood test early on and later tested postitive. I don't know what to make of the hpt's, though. How confusing!

Nickie,

The same thing happened to me. I had 3 + HPT and I went to the Dr. for a blood test which the first came back inconclusive. I was kind of shocked so they sent me back 48 hrs. later and it was positive. They told me that it was "inconclusive" because different laboratories have different cut off numbers? Maybe your Dr. could retest you in 48 hrs?

Good Luck!

Nickie, don't worry too much yet. What the girls have said in the posts makes sense. Besides, you were at what -11 DPO? maybe their clinic has a higher qualifying number for their blood test. Just hold on! Keep peeing on the sticks because the lines should be getting a bit darker every day or so. Your numbers are increasing significantly every 24-38 hours or so at this stage of your pregnancy (more towards the 38). Have faith in your POAS for now.

I'm thinking of you!

I'm lurking from Born in May '04...BUT I got 7, count 'em, 7! positive tests when I got pregnant. I went to the docs and got a blood test and it came back negative. I was 16dpo whenI had it done. they told me that it was most accurate when i was 10 days or more late. i was only one day late, if that.

so, i went back 10 days late and it was positive. I know you want to freak out, but DONT! I would believe your tests, you've taken so many of them! and different brands too!

I think this is definitely it! I kept taking at least one a day for the 10 day waiting period. it cost a ton, but kept getting darker and darker every day!

GOOD LUCK!!! tons of baby dust your way!
