And my boyfriend and i want to have our 1st child together. Im looking for some advice i was on depo for a year i finally just got my periode back on christmas. YEAH CHRISTMAS of all days. but besides the point what are the best times of the month to get pregnant. or most fertile and what are the best postions to get pregnant. this is my 1st child so i want to do it right. if anyone has some good advice please help me out here. thank you all. happy new years.

I too am trying for our first, and have been for well over a year. I am on Clomid now and will have DH undergo s/a soon and further testing for me.

Basically, the more you DTD, the better your chances. Your "fertile" window is usually cycle days 12-16. Some women O earlier or later. I don't think that there is any certain position, but I have heard that women on top typically isn't good, just for gravity sake. They go pretty fast in there, he he.

The BEST position for getting pregnant is missionary (guy on top) to allow for deepest penetration. The WORST position for getting pregnant is girl on top cuz everything doesn't stay in. I always prop a pillow under my butt after sex and lay there for awhile and have even swung my legs over my head and rested them against the wall. As far as ovulation goes I'm not the best one to ask as I have mild PCOS ( I don't ovulate on my own so have to take Clomid to produce eggs) but we used a Clear Plan easy fertility monitor. They are pretty expensive (like $175) but I swear by that thing and it took the guess work out of when is best time to conceive and we conceived our second daughter the very first month using it. I know people who use over the counter ovulation kits but sometimes the problem with those are you might not catch the egg in time cuz often times you've already ovulated and it's best to catch the egg when it's towards the top of the tube and not towards the bottom. It's all about timing really. I think it's also best to try to conceive in the morning cuz I think the guys sperm count is higher. Oh and after sex don't go to the bathroom but just lay in bed for awhile to give the swimmers a head start. Hope that helps. Sorry if TMI but you asked
