Do you EP or combo with BF: Caitlyn was exclusively BF until I returned to work this past week. Now it is a combo. She gets EBM at daycare and BF when she is at home.

Comments: We survived an early bout of mastitis, and nursing is going really well! Her first three days away from me last week, she only took 5-6 oz during the day, but she nursed like crazy when she was with me at night. Hopefully, she'll do okay with the reverse cycling. She's a big girl, so I'm not too worried about her going hungry.

This is my second BF/combo pump baby. I BF and pumped for my DS Sean who is now 3. I pumped for him until he was a year, and BF until he self-weaned around 14 mo. He had EBM from my frozen stash until he was about 15 or 16 mo. I was blessed with a good enough supply to never have to supplement formula for him. I'm hoping to have the same success this time around.

Breastfeeding Evan has been challenging. I've been pumping and nursing since he was born. I've had numerous problems with plugged ducts and Evan's refusal of my right breast, and now out of the blue thrush. I usually only pump once a day, but with the newest developments I am pumping a couple of times a day to alleviate some soreness. It's a PITA but we are almost at 8 months, so only 4 months to go, right?!
