Woo Hoo I did it
This week i set my mind to nursing in public. I practiced all week at home, and then we planned to go to the zoo on saturday. while trying to get out the door, my DH was attacked by the cat and bashed his head into the fridge, so we had to make a detour by the ER to get him a couple of stitches LOL. While in the germ infested waiting room I nursed him fo rthe first time surrounded by strangers and only one little old lady stared the whole time, but she had a silly smile on her face, so i think she was more just baby gazing.
Then off to the zoo...Leif was pretty distracted all day, especially at the aquarium, and then we went into the tropical rain forest where it was like a billion degrees. He started fussing, and there arent alot of places to sit in a tropical rain foreset, so we got through it quickly and nursed on the bench outside the butterfly house(that was still closed for winter).
i am so proud of myself. my dh said it wasn't noticeable at all, and i wasn't embarased, and i dont think anyone saw my girls. woo hoo

I'm like you..I "practiced" too...and I still get a little nervous around strangers and nip, but it works out just fine every time! Congrats! 
Keep at it, mommy, and you'll be a pro in no time.
