I'm not a big public nurser either. I just try not to be in the situation. I've nursed her in the car at the mall tons of times, just timed it to nurse when we get there.

I have nursed in a restaurant once, it was a fairly small local place and she just was not willing to wait so I whipped it out. Nobody even noticed and I felt so good for doing it.

I've nursed at the ped's office.

She's so distracted though now that I don't think she would nurse in public unless she was absolutely starving. I can barely get her to nurse during the day at home in a dark room with zero stimulation.

Inurse anywhere i have to. I try to go to the car and nurse there. Its quiet, i can put the air/heat on and i can put a blankie in the window for privacy.

This weekend i sat on a banch and nursed at a fair, my son goes to OT 2 times a week and i usually nurse her in the parent waiting room. I have done it in a resturunt but its too cramped in the booths and the chairs are too open. I just find it easier to run to the car with her when the car is available.

I know its hard to do it in public. My first i wouldnt and i didntgo anywhere for a long long time. With this i kinda have to because i am working around he older's schedule.

I nurse everywhere. My husband is a teacher and I have nursed in his class after school, restaurants, car, mall bench, at the fair.

I have nursed just about anyplace you can imagine. When they are hungry, they are hungry.

I will nurse anywhere it is appropriate to feed a child. IOW< if someone else can feed their kid a bottle where I am, I'll nurse. IF food is strictly prohibited, I'd honor that but haven't run into that situation yet. DD's not a wait til we get XYZ kinda girl. She's an I want it now! kinda girl LOL

I nurse anywhere/anytime baby is hungry. Right now, Vivian is only nursing before sleep times and for comfort and hardly ever when we are out and about because she is just too busy, LOL. When baby is hungry, baby is hungry. I have used a sling to nurse while shopping, going to parties, etc. and most of the time nobody even noticed. I tried being discreet at first and finding nursing lounges in malls, going to the car, etc., but found that I hated both going off like I was doing something "secret" and leaving whoever I was with . Frankly, I'd get bored, LOL!

ditto to all of the above. i was a lot more "shy" with ds, and frequently used the tail of my sling as a smei-cover, but by the time i had dd i realized that putting a blanket over the kiddos head not only makes them hot and uncomfortable, it draws more attention to what you're doing, whereas just lifting up the shirt from the bottome, getting the little one latched on, and then letting the shirt fall down to cover any exposed breast was much more discreet.
