So DS is almost 18 months and like the energizer bunny, we're still going stong.

Here's my problem- I noticed earlier this week that my left breast was slghtly sore, and now my left nipple is KILLING me when he latches. I've had nipple pain in the early days, but obviously those are long past. It feels as though I'm being stabbed through the bottom of my nipple. The breast and nipple look entirely normal, I don't feel any lumps other than the usual ducty stuff, and I feel completely fine.

I am expecting AF, so I thought that might account for some of the soreness, but only on one side??? For those who are wondering, I'm definitely not PG (poor DH, it's been a slow month! ).

What do you all think??? I'm thinking maybe he's getting sloppy with the latch and digging in with those nice sharp lower incisors....ideas???

af is another, as is thrush, but all 3 of these are unlikewly as it usually would not be limited to one breastside only.

i'd definately pay close attention to latch, and likely changes positioning for a bit and see if the area of soreness changes., if it stay the same it is likey a plug. if it moves with position changes it is likely his latch.

lower teeth shouldn't be a problem when child is latched on well, as his tongue will be between the teeth and the breast.

On closer (really close) inspection this morning, I found a small CRACK in my nipple! WTH?!?!? Cracked nipples at this point? I had to search for my Lansinoh!

It doesn't help that he's a little under the weather and wants "na na" constantly.....auuugghhhh........
