Default Scraping?

My DD is now 5 months. Lately when she nurses it stings and it feels like she is scraping my nipple. It hurts so bad I have to pull her off. I keep trying to reposition her and all sorts. Its kiling me. I even feel like i am getting clogged ducts from it. i hav to pump to clear the 'bruise like' feeling in my breasts.

Why is this happening? is it teething? how do i stop it. How can i make my nipples feel better. I feel like they have been zapped with a major electric shock!

it *could* be teething,

quick question, is she getting anythgin other than mama's milk? any cereal, solids etc? if so, are you maing sure to wipe out her mouth really well befor enursing her to keep it from getting on you?

also, the "zapping" *could* be thrush. have you or her been on antibiotics, or have you had a vaginal yeast infectiuon lately, or has she had a dipe rash?

Sigh. We saw the doc today for a checkup and there are no teeth in her immediate future.

unfortunatey nothing else is going on. No solid foods, no rashes or infections.

I have been working on her latch and i think its helping. I definately feel better now than i did a week ago. Thank you!

you don't necessarily have to *see* thrush to have it. i'm glad things are improving though.
