I have to pump for a few days to get enough to feed Hayden while I am on some antibiotics that she can't have, then I have to pump and dump while on the meds.. my problem is I'm not getting anything when I pump!

I pumped after she was first born occasionally and it worked just fine, I took like 3 months off from pumping and now when I try to pump I can feel the suction (so much so that my nipples are sore from trying) but I get hardly anything. The first three or four sucks I get some then nothing at all. I tried waiting for my letdown but it never came and my nipples hurt from trying. I tried a hand pump that I had to see if the problem was my pump - same problem. I now have a rented hospital grade pump and I am still having this problem.

What I am doing wrong? I need to figure it out soon bc i dont want to do formula while im on the meds.. help!
