I need some help.

For about 3 days I've been having intense pain in my left nipple only when Addi sucks. So I have no fever, no tenderness in the breast, no pain except when she's eating it feels like razors coming through my nipple instead of milk. It does let up a little toward the end of the feeding.

Any ideas??? I'm stumped. She's almost 7 months old and her latch is fine and no trouble on my right side.

i'm slightly stumped as well. if you had "razorlike" pain on both sides, that would be a dead giveaway for thruish....

if it wasn't only when she nursed, it would suggest some trauma to that side, maybe an underwire bra putting pressure int eh wrong place, causing a plug etc...

i really don't know this one. sorry mama. hope it gets better soon!

It is wierd isn't it. I think it's getting better though not completely yet. I never thought I'd have an "issue" this late in the game. It doesn't match any of the obvious.

I had the same thing, only on one side too... It totally felt like my baby was trying to suck razor blades and needles out of my boob and nipple... but sorry, I have no answers. It did get better though... I found it helpful sometimes to intensly massage while she nursed, it was painful to do at times, but mostly helped. Sometimes I just had to bite my fist in order to not scream and cry... so I'm sorry you're going through that too. I hope it gets better soon!
