My nursling is barely vocal, but he'll say- "Na Na!" (I always say for some reason, 'Do you want to nurse-nurse?' and I think he's trying to say 'nurse-nurse').

When he's being really cute, he'll say, "Mama, NA NA!"

He says, "THIS Mommy, THIS" and points at my shoulder. He only ever wants to nurse before nap or bedtime. I could offer other times during the day and he won't.

ds would say "neee-neeee" when he first started talking, and we taught him to say "nurse" for awhile it sounded more like "noise"

dd has always said "milkies"

"dat, want dat" And it makes me laugh!

Oh and the other day dh was sitting in the computer chair where I nurse Eli and it was his nap time and time for him to nurse. So Eli climbed up in dh's lap and poked his shoulder with his finger and said "out daddy, mama want dat, dada out" It was so funny!

Vivian is a scream. She'll point to my chest and go "YUM yummie yummie YUM YUM yummie YUM YUM!" and get louder and louder. If I'm not fast enough, she starts stripping me to get to the boobies. She loves her boobies!

My babies are too young, but my son, who just turned 3, always announces (when I'm getting the babies all set up to nurse):

"Mommy, babies gonna eat your boobies?"

LOL
cute!

Joey isn't old enough to 'say' anything yet. He will of course root around and go 'eh eh eh' if you aren't fast enough. Sometimes it is the heavy, excited breathing, KWIM....'he he he he he!" like a dog panting or something.

Funny story related to toddlers watching bf'ing.....my cousin's daughter (who was bf for a month or so, but not long enough to remember it, and who has no younger siblings to have watched bf)....saw me sit down in a rocker with a very tiny joey. Dialogue:

R: "What you doing?"
Me: "Feeding Joey. He's HUNGRY!"
R: (watching me adjust my shirt, pulling Joey up to the breast) "You've got FOOD under your SHIRT?" (Incredulous voice! LOL)

It was so cute! So then she proceeded to tell all 10-15 adults in the room that I had FOOD in my SHIRT!

I love the food under the shirt story! One of Vivian's cousins did a very similar thing when she was 8 weeks old. It was so cute!
