I think ds is starting to teethe (sp) and he's starting to use me as a teething ring! I watch him while he is nursing , but most of the time I still get gummed and OUCH it hurts! How long will this last? I startled him the first couple of times, but he still does it.

Maybe you could try sticking your pinky in his mouth to de-latch him and then re-latch. If you keep doing this everytime he tries to gum down on you then he'll get the point that he's not supposed to do this.

Ouch!! Matthew has just started to do the same as Valentino. With DD I did wast Nadine suggested. And after some time she stopped doing it. GL!
