So, I know all about storing breast milk, and I know you cant heat it in the microwave or on the stove. So are you supposed to let it warm to room temp, or just feed it to them cold?? Its the one thing I cant seem to find anywhere, even in my BFing book!!! I just dont see how the babies could like it cold. Any advice??
We always ran it under warm water to defrost it and then warm it. It worked pretty well, and there were also times that DD would take it cold (she wasn't fussy about it as long as she was being fed). We did also have a bottle warmer, but it always got the milk too hot for her and then we would have to put it in the fridge or freezer to cool it.
Daycare warms the bottles before they give them to her. Both of my kids wouldn't take a bottle of EBM unless it was warm enough. Even if it's warm, my DS would refuse until it was heated to just the right temp. Although, I just recently read that your aren't supposed to defrost frozen milk in warm water, but that you should leave it in the fridge overnight. I hadn't heard that with my son.
I would give EBM to my son cold. If it was frozen, I would defrost it under warm running water. He wasn't picky and would take it any temp he could get it. From the time he was a newborn until I stopped pumping, he was giving cold EBM.

*I* just sat it in hot water until it was room temp. I made it the same temp as it is when it's first pumped.
