Default Mother's Milk tea--GROSS!

I can't drink it alone. BUT, I think I'm having some supply issues so I want to drink it. Is it not effective if I steep it with a bag of peppermint tea too (for taste)?

I wouldn't think it would lose it's effectiveness but there are other things you can try if it doesn't agree with you. Have you thought about Fenugreek? It's an herbal suppliament you can take (3 pills, 3x per day) that can have a noticable effect on supply in just few days.....it works especially well when taken in combination with Blessed Thistle (also 3 pills, 3x per day). If it's supply issues you're trying to deal with, you could also request a prescription of Domperidone from your doctor.....make sure the you aren't under-dosed though (is should be 2, 10mg pills 4x per day or 3, 10mg pills 3x per day for a total daily dose of 80 - 90 mg). Domperidone can take longer than the herbals to show an effect but will also work better and last longer over time.

Good Luck

I was going to suggest Fenugreek as well.

What makes you think you have a supply issue????

I added lots of sugar! I also had to use prescriptions to bump it up.

It's mainly at night. She pulls and fusses and comes off the breast like 5 times. They feel empty and I have a hard time expressing any milk by hand from around 6-8 in the evening (when she wants to eat constantly). I thought if maybe I started drinking the tea in the afternoons, it might help me out in the evening.
