more SIL stuff..
First, I wanna thank you ladies for helping SIL even though she doesn't write herself, she appreciates it as well. I know it is hard enough to help someone via the internet, let alone through the internet and someone else!
Amari is almost 8 weeks old. First his poop was green (we think that was a milk imbalance) and it was starting to turn yellow again when I explained block feeding to her.
He started throwing up everything he ate and his poop turned to straight water or mucus. At one point the mucus was so thick he couldn't get it out himself, SIL had to pull it out when she changed him.
Took him to the ER and they called it a stomach flu and said wait and he'll get better. He for better for a couple days, then for two days his poop was super thick (normal color, I assume.. she didn't say otherwise) and now he is back to throwing up constantly (after every feed) and to pooping water/mucus. This worries me because it seems like if he is pooping water then he must not be getting anything in, right?
Any ideas? Is this a nursing issue or something else? She is worried sick. He goes back to the doc not tomorrow but next monday.
He acts hungry all the time but she doesn't always feed him because she thinks he is over eating and making himself sick.
The doctor told her if he keeps it up she will have to stop BFing...
