Icon5 Late Letdown = MAD baby

All of the sudden it is taking quite a while for my milk to let down. Rachael is not a happy camper. She latches on and doesn't get what she is used to, pulls of and fusses, and tries again. She repeats this until the milk comes. It takes even longer for it to come since she is not continuously sucking, kwim?

This happened with my son and I freaked out that I was losing my supply/not filling him up and began solid foods - now that actually hurt my supply.

Is there a reason for this? Can I change it? I know that my body is adjusting to the babies needs in many ways, but boy is she mad!

you could try to massage your breasts, use heat or comression etc to encourage a faster letdown, or if you wanted , you could manually express or pump for a few seconds before lathcing her on.... it would get to a pain in the rear after a bit though i['d think. i'd say just let her get to work it out and go with the flow most likely.
