Hello! My name is Randi, I'm active over in the August 07 board and decided to try to find a breastfeeding board to post in as well so may as well stick with SK, right?

My little monkey, Shaun, was born August 4, 2007. So he is about 7 1/2 months old, and up until about a week ago, he has been exclusively breastfed. We intend to bf for at least 2 years. I don't see us going past that but never say never. I try to read up on bf a lot, its the only way I've made it this far, and while I'm definitely no expert I can try and offer some help and support to the newer mommies. I have become very passionate about the subject and I think that comes through sometimes!

Anyway, about me personally-I'm 20 years old, a Marine wife. Married for a little over a year. My dh is about to deploy in May so I will be making the move from California to Indiana (where I'm from), so I may not get to post as much as I'd like! But I look forward to posting with and getting to know everyone! If there's anything else you'd like to know about me or my baby feel free to ask

I have been nursing now for 28mos and counting ... I first thought I was only going to go for a year, but then it just didn't make any sense to stop. So now I am tandem nursing

I am bfing my two and I had planned to only do it till 6 months. I had no idea how much I would enjoy it (and them too for that matter) so now I plan to bf till they are at least one.

i'm mama bear to 2 cubs. brother bear is 8, sister bear just turned 5, i was gonna nurse for 6 weeks, originally, hehehehehehe. brother bear weaned himself when i was preg with his siter, then picked it back up when she was born, i tandem nursed for awhile, and then he weaned for good. sister bear actually is still my "nursiehead" several times a week, but i think she'll be done soon. my hubby is a emt and a volunteer firefighter, and we were high school sweethearts. i am a sahm now, we homeschool and do things more naturally than most in my area. in the past i was a professional bf counselor. anything you need to know, feel free to ask. i anticipate thigns will settle down here and i'll be back on daily soon.
