So I'm wanting my fertility to return. Apparently I'm one of the lucky few who takes forever to get AF back. Addi's been on 3 solid meals a day for months and sleeps all night as well and still no sign of AF. So I have contemplated limiting her breast feedings or even possibly weaning her to get AF back. I hope to start ttc #2 in August.

So yesterday we're in the checkout line at NY & Co and she's getting fussy in the stroller. So I pick her up and she tugs a little on my shirt. I said not now baby and she leaned back and plain as day signed milk to me with both hands. The first time she's signed it completely on her own. I was so proud that I wanted to tell all the women what she was doing but I kept it to myself. Now how in the world can I deny her the boob. So we went back to the dressing room, she nursed and was happy again.

So Kara, Mamabear, anyone. Is there anything I can do to get AF back?? Apparently weaning is NOT in our near future.

there is nothing i know of that can be (safely) used to make menses return, and also, remember that getting af back is not necessarily a guarnatee that you will get preggers again right away... and remember also that there is the other side where they get preg again with NO af between pregnancies.

What mamabear said. I was unlucky last time and got AF back when Vivian was about 4mos old. I think I got a pre-AF a couple of weeks ago, a very light bleeding for a couple of days, so I'd say I'm just as unlucky as last time
