Well I already jumped into posting, but I'll intro now =)

I'm Kerri. DS nursed until his second birthday when he selfweaned due to pg. He then has latched but not really nursed a few times since DD was born and I pump milk for him when I can. DD is 5.5 weeks old and nursing like a champ with no complications. I am BFARing (breast feeding after reduction) and was given BAD info by an IBCLC at the hospital with DS so I've been through the ringer of complications including a horrendous case of thrush, nipple confusion, supply struggles, etc. and I've also wet nursed/co-nursed 2 others while nursing DS. I'm currently dealing with DD's food sensitivities and some overactive letdown issues

Well a belated Welcome to you Kerri (although you've been posting for a while already, lol....)

I've dealt with both supply and OA letdown issues myself....kindof a ironic combination, lol......Glad to hear you've stuck with it though! And to go on to wet nurse others - that's awesome!

Hi, I am Christine. I have been lurking for a few weeks. I am currently breastfeeding my 2 month daughter. So far everything has been going great. I have been very happy to be able to pop in here to learn so much. I post also on the IVF and Born in January 2007 forums.

I guess I've never replied to this!

I'm Allyson, I'm also a member of Born in June. My son Oakley, just turned 9 months and is exclusively bf at home. I work full time and pump but I can't pump enough to feed him the whole time he's at daycare so he does have a couple bottle of formula every day. I bf my older son only a few months before supply issues caused me to wean. So I'm very happy to have made it this far this time.

cool kerri! I am a very amplyu endowed mama, and will be likely getting a reduction, but not til i am done havign kiddos. it seems to depend a lot on the skill o fthe surgeon whther a mom cna nurse well after redcuction, and that is one of the things i feel strongly that i wann do for any of my kids, so we have opted to wait. glad it worked ouyt for you though! as far as the bad ionfo from the lc, did you report her to iblce?if you havent i can get you the necessary info to do so

Since I already posted a couple of times, I'm Suzanne, mom to Kate (3 and a half) and Rob (who will be one in 2 weeks already)!

I was one of the moms who said before I had my first that I would BF "if it worked". I was a FF baby (born in the early 70's when you just got a shot automatically to dry up your milk according to my mom) and so were a lot of folks I knew.

Now I can't imagine how to have a baby without BF! DD nursed for 18 months, we very gradually weaned over about a 2 month period, and it was a perfect experience for both of us. I will continue with DS as long as he wants to!
