So I am now officially tandem nursing

Irene came into the world at 12:36 on Nov. 13th and is a nursing champ. She was a little jaundiced (not terribly surprising since she was 38w2d gestation) and her pedi advised a bottle or two of formula

He knows how committed I am to exclusive breastfeeding. Sigh ... I told him the same thing happened with Vivian and there was no need for the bili blanket then, so I'd take my chances now. So, guess what? Her levels went only marginally higher than they were in the hospital, and the day after my milk came in she gained 2oz overnight and pinked right up!
Vivian isn't so sure she likes sharing her boobies, and if she's tired she'll throw a HUGE fit and demand that I give baby to daddy or put baby in baby's bed, but otherwise she's pretty happy with the baby. After all, she is just two years old
She is a tiny little thing, though! She was born 19" long and 5lbs 14oz, was down to 5lbs 7oz on Thursday, and was 5lbs 9oz yesterday. Vivian was 7lbs 2oz at birth so none of her newborn clothes fit Irene and we had to get some preemie outfits. Very weird because I really was expecting a big baby this time
