So I did my research months ago on Gentian Violet, including how badly it can stain.

I finally got my bottle of it today and was able to start treatment with it. I shook it carefully, took the lid off, laid it gently on the sink making sure it wouldn't drip, dipped my Q-tip, painted Hayden's mouth, threw the Q-tip away, put the lip back on, and got Hayden settled in bed all without incident.

I then returned to the bathroom to take care of my boobies. I grabbed the bottle and went to shake it.... the lid wasn't on the whole way....

Needless to say, my walls, sink, Hayden's bath toys, the floor, all the soap and lotion dispensers, and the pile of dirty clothes from my shower and Hayden's bath are now a lovely shade of purple....
