Icon5 Help! Pumping Tips Needed! :)

I have my 5 year wedding anniversary at the end of December. My husband had to spoil his surprise and tell me he wants to take me away for a night. He had to tell me because I do not have a stash anymore. He knows formula won't happen in my house unless there is a MAJOR emergency. I have about 24 ounces frozen and I figure I would like to have at least enough milk to have 54 all together.

I only get about an ounce when I pump! I cannot let down at all. I know this is somewhat normal since Rachael is 7 months old. I pump in the morning.

What can I do to build a stash? We could really use this night out. I have started taking a lactation blend of herbs with fenugreek, blessed thistle, and others. I am about to make some oatmeal cookies. Anything else? Should I wake in the middle of the night? Rachael STILL gets up 2x believe it or not, so it is hard to even be engorged EVER.

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I swear by barley, particularly beef & barley soup and Ovaltine.

I know what you mean about the still eating twice a night. I do still fill up sometimes but she's always ready to eat so it would be hard to pump.

Honestly though, if you tried to pump after each feeding or at least a few times a day your production should pick up to match the demand. I assume that's still the case at 7 months.

I hope you can get your stash up I know how important a night away is.

ditto to everythign kenda said about pumping after feeds etc.

you cna also try hand expression, as some women do better- their bodies justy don't lket down for plastic, but skin on skin gets the milk flowing for them.

also, www.motherlove.com has awesom tinctures for building supply. look for the one that has fenugreek, goat's rue etc.
