Icon4 help, mastitis

So today I went in to urgent care and it looks like i have mastitis...YUCK! My question is, I have chills and fever like crazy, and while I am feeding the little guy i get goosebumps and my skin feels like it is tightening. Does this effecy my letdown at all? Usually I will let down twice, but after I get the chills i dont let down again. Any info would be great, as this is my first(and hopefully only) time dealing with this.

It shouldn't have any effect on let down. Hope you are feeling better soon. I got mastitis a few times with DD and it SUCKED!!!! This time around I have only felt like I was getting it and started to take lots of vitamin C and it went away... Hope you are feeling better really soon!!

I just saw this post...sorry if I am too late. I am sooo sorry!!! I had mastitis and it is so painful.....my skin and muscles even ached. I felt so sick that to be honest, I don't even remember if I had two letdowns or not. I just let the baby eat until he didn't want it anymore or I was empty.

Hope you are feeling better and nursing is back to normal!!!
