You guys need to help me with this one.
My four weeks old is exclusively breastfed, he is gaining weight beautifully, breastfeeding is going good, a bit of pain on the left one but is getting better.
AT night he eats usually every two hours, sometimes 3-4, the cycle is normal, my breasts get full he eats, usually from one breast at a feeding, when he comes off of it naturally I burp him, change him and offer the other one, sometimes he takes it sometimes he doesn't, either way I start next feeding on the last offered breast.
Now during the day is when everything goes haywire, I nurse on demand, whenever I see him rooting around, making tight "Os" with his mouth, sticking his tongue out or sucking his hands I offer the breast, the thing is there is no schedule for him during the day, is constant, and no just sucking to pacify himself, he is swallowing all the time, my breast NEVER get full during the day, and come 5-6 pm I'm dry, and no dry as in a breast pump doesn't work as good as a baby dry, I mean dry as in not one drop comes out when I do it with my hands, this has been happening since day one so I don't think is a growth spur. Then is when the fun beginnings, he gets VERY frustrated, red, arching his back, pulling away from my breast, with my nipple still inside his mouth, mind you, he starts to cry, I start to cry and I regret that I chose breastfeeding

. last two days I caved and gave him two ounces of formula

but he won't take a bottle if his life depended on it, and you can see he hates formula, specially when I'm the one giving it to him. he looks at me like saying "why?", is heart breaking.
But how can I break this horrible cycle, I'm taking Mother's milk tea, three - four cups a day, and since I nurse when he wants is not lack of stimulus, could it be that I just don't make enough milk for him? Or maybe he has some kind of problem like acid reflux and that's why he's constantly eating?
TIA guys
