Hello ladies, new here....I think I'm pregnant....
I POAS and it was faint pos but dh couldn't see it so we are still going with, "I think I'm pg"... any how... I was taking the mini pill but didn't follow the direction exactly, oops. ANy how it's a surprise but dh and I did want one more and time isn't on my side, I'll be 40 in July.
Any how, here's my question: for those of you who were pg while bfing did you notice a change in your baby's poop? Among all the other pg symptoms I'm having, I noticed that Bella's poop is more frequent and different in color, just curious if this could be because I may be pg.
Re: Hello ladies, new here....I think I'm pregnant....
no, i didn't notice, though many women i'v e known who were having transitional milk/colostrum etc noticed much more frequent poos in the older nursling. my child was significantly older though, and nursing was not his main source of food, and he wenaed pretty early on in my pregnancy when my milk disappeared.
Re: Hello ladies, new here....I think I'm pregnant....
I didn't start noticing any difference in Vivian's poop until my milk started transitioning into colostrum, around month 6 or so.
Good luck! BTW, Vivian was born 10 days before my 39th birthday, and Irene was born 4 days after my 41st

just a headsup though, because of how young your current baby is, i'd pay real close attention to her output both of wet and dirty dipes to make sure she is getting enough milk. your body will take care of the growing unborn baby first, your nursling second, and you last, BUT you will likely still have some serious decrease in supply, and you may find you need to supplement you nursling to amke sure she is getting adequate calories for growth. you also may find this pregnancy a little harder since your body hasn't had much time to start building back stores etc to nourish the next bean. not trying to be negative, just informative.
Re: Hello ladies, new here....I think I'm pregnant....
thanks for the info...she's has poop atleast once a day and wet all through the day and I still wake her to nurse her 2-3 times at night just in case I am pg, I still want her to get what she needs and i'm making sure I'm getting lots of fluids and cal for everybody. again, thanks for the info. most people are shocked at a pg so soon but that's not what I need to read about, I need support as I didn't plan for this to happen, KWIM?
