But it is ok, he will be 3 years old on the 18th of May, so we made it 2 years, 10 1/2 months. He slowly weaned down to one time a day and then he wanted to do cuddles and stories with his older siblings rather than nurse. It was a fairy easy transition. His last nursing session was at my parents house at the beginning of April.

congrats on 2 years, 10 1/2 months! that's a huge success!! it sounds like he was totally fine with it and it was what he wanted. which is great.

it's always a little sad when a little one weans. bfing is such a special time and relationship. i know i will be sad when reilly weans because she is probably my last baby

What a good job Mama!!! That's great that you got to bf him that long! And its nice that it was he who wanted to end it...but sad too. I so do not look forward to that day.

Fabulous! Congrats on the CLW! That is my goal with both girls, but I gotta admit there are times when I just want Vivian to stop so I can concentrate on Irene more. But then Vivian will get all snuggly and look up at me with her big green/blue eyes and I just melt
