Default Daddy milk

I've been pumping last night and this morning so that my poor DH will have something to feed Irene tomorrow while I'm getting injections in my back. Vivian is fascinated by the whole process since she hasn't seen it before and keeps telling me to pump "her" boobie, LOL. (I've assigned one boob to my toddler, and one to my infant, at least as long as the toddler is looking )

So I tell her that I'm pumping so that there will be milk for Irene while I'm at the surgery center so he can feed Irene. Vivian immediately says he's going to feed Irene Daddy Milk, LOL! So now my pumped milk is officially "daddy milk"

Gotta love the mind of a 2yr old!

Thanks! It hurts like he11 right now, but after 8 cortisone injections that's not surprising. It'll be MUCH better in about a week, though!

I have this congenital thing where the joints in my spine (the facets) aren't shaped quite right and form a "kink" in my cervical spine area. Add age into the mix (degenerating discs), and they started rubbing together creating inflammation and irritating the discs there. So, about once a year or so I need cortisone injections to reduce the inflammation and make everything hunky-dory for a while. This is the 3rd time I've had the injections, and they really do work like magic. My doc was funny this time, he said "well, the good news is there is nothing different from last time" so he gave me 2 more than he normally gives patients, just like he did last time

I asked him and it turns out there is nothing I can do to change it. Posture, exercises, etc. can exacerbate and/or ease it, but the fact of it can't be changed. About the only thing that feels good is massage to rub out the collateral muscle knots but that doesn't fix anything. I don't think there is a surgical solution, short of fusing my spine, and that is NOT what I want to do in my neck!

Sucks, but at least I can fix it when it needs it!

i'm sure you've probbaly trie dmost topicals too for pain relief, but is you havent tried it, maybe "cryogel" could help? it is like biofreeze (available in lots of places) but better, because it has arnica in it as well, which is a natural anti-inflammatory

Thanks, I'll make DH look for it on his way home tonight. I bet it'll help the soreness a ton.

i got mine on ebay

iirc, the name of the store that had the best deals was 'natural remedies" or somethign along those lines.
\
it is what dh uses when he needs a chiro vsit(he's had a couple of car wrecks), but we can't get him in there right away, and what i use on my back- especially right before af shows up (i get stomach cramps, but i also get a horrible backache, and it helps a lot.

Thanks! I'm looking for it now ...

My back is already feeling better than it did before the injections. It takes 1-2 weeks for the cortisone to kick in, but the injection sites are starting to feel a lot better. Not lifting more than 5lbs it tough when you have a 10lb infant and a 30lb toddler

ETA: Found it! Order is in

I did get the lavender one, but I like all things lavender so that isn't surprising
